My three favourite nappy bags, introducing my new all around favourite bag and details about what I pack in my nappy bag as a mum of two!
Having a toddler has really changed my essentials when leaving the house so I recently found myself looking for something else in a bag. I wasn't taking the pram out with us as much and you really need to have your hands free when chasing after a toddler!
So let me introduce you to my new favourite all around nappy bag from Oi Oi and a couple other options for other needs.

New - All Around Favourite - Oi Oi Backpack

This bag has really been designed with thought and care. Designed considering both function and fashion, these bags come in a variety of colours and styles. I chose the "Faux Leather Nappy Backpack in Dusty Rose". It is the perfect neutral pink colour, not too pink so it goes with every outfit and my husband isn't embarrassed to carry it on outings too! :)
Oi Oi was founded by a Mum in 1997 (their 25th birthday next month!) for a stylish nappy bag option. It is now run by the same mother-daughter team which is super special. I just love the story behind this brand!
What I love about this bag:
- Feels compact but lots of room!
- Insulated side pockets for storing cool drinks, breast milk, or warm sterlised water for formula
- Two separate front pockets allowing easy access to important items like wallets, phones and of course snacks!
- Plenty of interior organisation
- Large zip opening making it easy to see inside
- Faux leather wipes clean
- Variety of colour options
- Backpack design for hands free
- Comfortable straps
- Comes with pram straps and also has matching pram caddies available
Can you see why this one is my favourite...? I think I will take one in every colour! :)

Favourite Extra Large Bag
Chuckas - Coco Neoprene Nappy Bag

I have been using this bag since just after Poppy's first birthday... look at sweet little baby Poppy in that pic! I found at this age she was still needing all those baby essentials plus toddler ones too. This bag was amazing for long trips, traveling and the beach.
What I love about this bag:
- Trendy style for multiple uses (would also be a great gym bag!)
- Extra large size
- Plenty of interior organisation
- Snap buttons on side to adjust size or open up more when looking inside
- Neoprene makes it easy to clean (this bag has had lots of spills!)
- Comes with shoulder strap so you can also carry cross body

Favourite Compact Bag
Pottery Barn Kids - Classic Convertible Tote

This was actually the first bag we bought when pregnant with Poppy. I loved that it was something Nik would be happy to carry and also it could be personliased. Anything personliased is a win for me! :)
Since we purchased ours, it now comes as a convertible model and can be carried on the shoulder, cross body and as a backpack.
I call this one compact because I would say it is smaller than our other two options, however I have never had a problem fitting in everything we need into it.
What I love about this bag:
- Classic, gender neutral style
- Good size
- Interior pockets for organisation
- Large, separate front pocket with snap closure for easy access
- Cotton and nylon so easy to clean (we spilled almost an entire tin of formula through this on our way home from the hospital with Poppy! Not the best start but clean up easily.)
- Convertible straps to carry in a variety of ways, including backpack for hands free.
- Option to personalise

So there is a little run down of my favourite nappy bags. I would have never thought that I would need more than one bag option but I sure am happy we do now. Going out of the house with kids is a totally different experience from those childless outings. You need to be prepared for anything and having the right bag makes everything easier!
Make sure you check out my new favourite bag from Oi Oi and their other beautiful products. I wish I had discovered them sooner!
