Recipe and Method for this delicious Starbucks inspired coffee!

If you love this holiday as much as I do then you will love making your morning cup of coffee just as festival as all the new Halloween décor you've been collecting! 😆

Method Details:
The most important ingredient here is obviously the pumpkin puree. Living in Australia, this is a bit tricky to come by but easily made and to be honest after making this myself for a few years now, I much prefer it!
To make pumpkin puree:
1 Kent pumpkin
Cut pumpkin into large slices keeping the skin on. This way when it is soft you can just scoop the pumpkin right off the skin
Place on baking sheet with baking paper
Bake in oven at 200 degrees until very soft and appears to be bubbling slightly- approx. 40 minutes depending on the size of slices. Test with a fork before removing from oven.
Scoop the pumpkin off the skin and place in a food processor. Blend until smooth and no chunks. No need to add water.
Pumpkin Spice Latte Recipe:
1/4 cup pumpkin puree
1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice (more or less depending on our taste for this)
To make pumpkin pie spice (makes one tbsp.):
2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon ginger
1//2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon cloves
Espresso coffee or other preferred coffee
Sugar
Milk
Whipping cream (optional)
Cinnamon or sprinkles for topping
Method:
Combine 1/4 cup pumpkin puree and 1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice. Stir to combine. You may wish to use less or more of this depending on your taste. You could also reserve some and use as topping.
Place one teaspoon (could use more depending on taste) of pumpkin spice mixture into mug
Add hot coffee or espresso and stir well to dissolve as much as pumpkin as possible. Make sure the coffee is hot. I like to add the pumpkin to the mug before placing it under the espresso machine so the coffee is as hot as possible to help with combining.
Add sugar .Even if you don't normally take sugar in your coffee I would still here otherwise the pumpkin can be overwhelming.
Froth milk and add to coffee. If you don't have a milk frother then heat milk first.
Add whipped cream and cinnamon, sprinkles, or pumpkin pie spice for topping.
Store any remaining pumpkin mixture in fridge for future coffees! 🎃
